George Bennett
President, S. Abraham & Sons, Inc.

George Bennett is President of S. Abraham & Sons, Inc. (SAS), a division of Imperial Trading Company and one of the nation's leading convenience wholesale distributors. As President, George is responsible for guiding the company's strategic direction while fostering a culture rooted in customer-vendor partnerships, operational excellence, and long-term growth. Under his leadership, SAS continues to strengthen its position as a trusted distribution partner for thousands of retailers and supplier partners across the Midwest.

George joined SAS in 2010 following a successful 13-year career with Anheuser-Busch, where he held leadership positions in sales, trade marketing, and brand portfolio management. His experience managing nationally recognized brands and developing customer-focused growth strategies laid the foundation for his collaborative leadership style and passion for building high-performing organizations. During his tenure at SAS, George has served as Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Chief Marketing Officer, and President, helping lead the company's continued evolution in an increasingly dynamic retail marketplace.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, George is recognized as one of the industry's leading advocates for the independent convenience wholesale distribution channel. He has served as Chairman of the Michigan Distributors and Vendors Association and currently serves as First Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Convenience Distribution Association (CDA), where he previously co-chaired the Government Affairs Committee. In these roles, he works alongside industry leaders to advance public policy, strengthen supplier and distributor partnerships, and help ensure the long-term success of independent distributors. He has also served on the General Mills Advisory Board, providing strategic insight into the evolving convenience retail marketplace.

George believes the future of the industry depends on collaboration, innovation, and responsible leadership. During his six years on the NACS Supplier Committees, he helped establish an affiliation with Partnership for a Healthier America, expanding awareness of healthier food choices within the convenience retail channel and demonstrating the industry's ability to positively impact the communities it serves.

A graduate of the University of Missouri, George lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with his wife, Charity. Together they are raising five children. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his family, boating, hunting, fishing, and golfing.
