Senate Agriculture Chair Aims to Consider Farm Bill Later this Summer

Senate Agriculture Chair John Boozman (R-AR) told reporters that he expects to release legislative text for the Senate version of the Farm Bill within the next several weeks. As a reminder, the House passed its farm bill, the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 (H.R. 7567) at the end of April. Boozman said the Senate Agriculture Committee is expected to consider a farm bill during the work period between July 4th and August recesses. Read more here.
