President-elect Donald Trump finalized his health team with key appointments to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), and the role of Surgeon General. He selected Marty Makary, a Johns Hopkins surgeon, to head the FDA, emphasizing his focus on restoring the agency’s reputation and cutting bureaucratic red tape. Trump nominated former Florida Rep. Dave Weldon to be the CDC director, highlighting his experience in health policy and medicine, though Weldon has expressed skepticism about vaccines. Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, a medical doctor and Fox News contributor, was chosen as the next Surgeon General. Trump’s team also includes Robert F.
