Senate HELP Committee Holds Nominations Hearings

On July 14, 2026, the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee held a hearing to consider Sean Kaufman to be Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Erica Schwartz to be Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
