Judge Halts Trump SNAP Funding Restrictions in Lawsuit by 20 States
On June 5, 2026, U.S. District Judge Myong Joun granted a preliminary injunction blocking the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) new funding conditions to receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Among them are restrictions related to “gender ideology,” “immigration” and “fair athletic opportunities” for women and girls.
