FDA Announces New Steps to Accelerate PMTA Reviews

On May 7, 2026, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) Acting Director Bret Koplow issued an announcement regarding new procedures to expedite the agency’s review of tobacco and nicotine product Pre-Market Tobacco Applications (PMTA).
