CDA Supports Hemp CBD Supplement Regulation

CDA sent a letter of support to sponsors of The Hemp and Hemp-Derived CBD Consumer Protection and Market Stabilization Act of 2020, which ensures products containing hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) and other ingredients derived from hemp are lawfully produced and follow existing regulatory guidelines. Passage of this is a needed path to regulation for one category of hemp-derived CBD-containing products and gives CDA members some certainty. There is currently no Senate companion bill.
