House Begins Consideration of 2018 Farm Bill

The House has begun deliberation of the 2018 Farm Bill, with debate expected to continue throughout today and perhaps into tomorrow. CDA members were on hand this week to lobby against any amendments limiting SNAP choice and we are happy to report that no such amendments were made in order. The bill includes new work requirements for SNAP recipients, and the House will consider a couple of amendments tightening the work and eligibility requirement for SNAP beneficiaries.
