Kentucky Increases Cigarette Tax
The Kentucky legislature overrode the Governor's veto of a tax package which puts in place a 50-cent per pack cigarette tax increase effective July 1. Floor stock tax does apply, and per the Kentucky Tobacco and Candy Association, wholesalers will have the option to make the floor tax payments in three installments. The increases takes the Kentucky tax to $1.10/pack.
