FTA Tobacco Tax Uniformity
The Federation of Tax Administrator (FTA) has developed a uniform tobacco tax reporting initiative that promotes a more streamlined process for documenting tobacco tax and other information and submitting it to the states.
Tim Harris, tobacco tax manager, Eby-Brown Co., and co-chair of the FTA’s tobacco uniformity committee, outlined the many benefits of tobacco tax uniformity during CDA's recent State Executive Summit. He pointed out the importance of interaction and relationships between industry and government for the improvement of compliance.
