Leader McConnell Signals Items for Next Coronavirus Package

In an interview this week, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell laid out his thoughts on what will be in the next coronavirus relief package, saying the themes are jobs, kids (getting them back to school) and liability protection. He indicted that he does not think the $600 per week additional unemployment insurance payment should be extended. CDA members have indicated that these payments have created an incentive for workers not to come back to work.

The House and Senate are in recess, returning the week of July 20.
