Kavanaugh Confirmation Hearing Announced

Last week, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) announced that Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings will start on Sept. 4. The hearings are expected to last between three and four days, and, barring any unforeseen developments, this schedule puts the Senate on track to confirm Judge Kavanaugh before the Court begins its new term in October. Senate Democrats are working to delay the hearings as long as possible, pushing for more documents to be released from Judge Kavanaugh’s time as a staffer in Pres. George W. Bush’s Administration.
