Amazon opened an Amazon Go store in Chicago on Monday; its first location outside of Seattle. The store, located at 113 S. Franklin Street, is ‘check-out free,’ with shoppers using their Amazon Go app to make purchases,
and is open 7am – 8pm Monday through Friday. The company previously announced that it would expand first to Chicago and San Francisco, and this opening appears to be the beginning of a nationwide roll-out. At present the company has four stores, with three being in Seattle. According to the company, Amazon Go offers a range of products including ready-to-eat meals, snacks, confections, grocery essentials and other items.
