Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack Holds Farm Bill Meeting

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Tom Vilsack convened with senior Agriculture Department officials last week for a strategy session to discuss the future of agriculture and major farm bill messaging goals. He reportedly said the USDA needs to raise awareness about its work aiding rural communities and should convey that the farm bill can help “the many,” rather than the few, in order to build strong bipartisan support.
