Republicans Hold Senate While Democrats Take the House
Both parties found success in the results of Tuesday’s midterm elections. As of Wednesday afternoon, Republicans consolidated their hold of the Senate, gaining at least 2 seats in the chamber, while Democrats engineered a takeover of the House of Representatives, picking up more than 23 seats. While Republicans lead in tight Senate races in Arizona and Florida, those races remain too close to call. 19 House races also remain too close to call.
