New York City Council Raises Cigarette Pack Price, Bans Tobacco Sales in Drug Stores

The New York City Council passed legislation that will raise the minimum price of a pack of cigarettes from $10.50 to $13, prohibit the sale of tobacco products in pharmacies, cap the number of tobacco retailers in the city, among other things.
