Republican Legislators Take Their Tax Reform Pitch On the Road

Looking to avoid the pitfalls of the healthcare “repeal and replace” debacle, Republican tax writers are spending some of their August break at public events intended to build public support for tax reform. Today, leaders of the House Ways & Means Committee will hold a public event at the former President Ronald Reagan’s California ranch, invoking the historic 1986 tax reform package signed by President Reagan.
