This session will cover techniques for building strong customer relationships, creating customized solutions, and maximizing profitability. Presenter: Leif Babin
All problems are leadership problems. Join Leif Babin, Former Navy SEAL and co-author with Jocko Willink of “Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win,” as he focuses on the principles of taking responsibility for one's actions, leading by example, and developing strong leadership skills. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Leif served thirteen years in the Navy, including nine in the SEAL Teams. He is the recipient of the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, and a Purple Heart. Upon his departure from active duty, Leif co-founded Echelon Front, a premier leadership consulting company that helps others build their own high-performance winning teams.

Upon completion of his session, Leif will be available at the trade show from 9:00 - 10:30 am ET to engage with attendees.

Insights from the Director of FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products

Presenter: Dr. Brian King
Dr. Brian King, the Director of the Center for Tobacco Products at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, will provide the latest updates on the regulation of the manufacturing, marketing, and sale of tobacco products. During this session, Dr. King will address topics of interest to CDA members, including the pre-market tobacco product application process, compliance and enforcement, and FDA communication on tobacco regulatory activities. This session is a valuable opportunity to gain insight on tobacco product regulation in the United States.

Presenters: Scott Jennings and Kathee Facchiano

Join CNN senior political contributor and republican strategist Scott Jennings and CDA policy advisor Kathee Facchiano as they examine the stakes and scenarios in the 2024 election. Scott’s career has taken him across the country as part of dozens of campaigns, including as a key advisor to President George W. Bush, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, and many others. Scott is one of most well-known conservative commentators and writers in the country, with his work appearing in papers and on sites nationwide. Kathee was most recently the Chief of Staff to Representative Clay Higgins (R, LA-03), and has spent almost her entire career working on Capitol Hill, both in the House and the Senate – and for both Republicans and Democrats. Kathee is now vice president, Van Scoyoc Associates/Capitol Decisions Inc. and serves as CDA’s policy advisor.

Thomas will spotlight the understanding that leadership style and self-awareness allows leaders to make meaningful mutual connections. Using the tools provided by Thomas will help attendees develop a roadmap to success when identifying a talent pipeline.
